i plan on getting a new video and i need to know do i have to have a video card that matches my mobo chipset? my mobo is a asus s939 with a radeon xpress chipset? the reason i ask is i want to buy a nvidia based card but i'm not sure if it'll work on my mobo.
Chipsets don't matter. Trust me. Just make sure you get the right kind of video card for the slot on your motherboard. PCI=PCI/AGP=AGP/ PCI Express x 16=PCI Express x16. Okay?
thats good to know, i cant make heads or tails with any ati cards, there numbering system is terrible. thanks for the help.
Yeah, the numbering can be a bit confusing unless you've had it explained. Anyhoo, yeah glad to help.
