Hi there, I was wondering you kind people here would help me with something.

Firstly, I'm trying to watch movies from my PC on to my TV. I bought S-Video cable and connect the all up. The problem is, I can see my desktop on my TV, but when I try to play any video, it just shows a black screen on TV but not on PC?

I've double checked my connections and all seems right. Also, I have audio, just blank screen. I'm sure its not codec problems as I can view it on my PC. Also, I've tried different players form Vlc media player to WMP.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

you must set your tv out as the primary display

when you have 2 displays they are either mirrored or expanded, most cards only do expansion, so the primary display is where all the apps show up when loaded and where all the icons are, you will still have a desktop on your pc monitor but will have to drag any open program you want to use on it from the tv screen to the monitor
