Hey I did have another forum but i beleive I will buy this one tomorrow. It has a junk vid card but I will buy a new one. I heard that emachines quality used to be very bad. So I was wondering what your opinions are on buying an emachine computer? I am looking at this one I believe it will rock with more ram and a better vid card. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10072975&catid= mind you I dont want this thing breaking down in a year. thanks very much, just trying to get the best bang for my buck
Personally, I think Emachines suck.I had a friend that worked their. Emachine uses the cheapest parts around. It only has a 300w PSU.and the bios is locked so you cannot upgrade the bios to overclock the system or change the CPU.If you don't upgrade the PSU after installing a new graphics card the PSU will burn up and cause the emachine to smoke. And the round power button on the monitor tends to get stuck after a period of time. The case bezel in the from is flimsy where the drives are.If you want the best bang for the buck build your computer it's not hard.I have built two so far and I never done so before.Just read on the internet how to build one and there is nothing to it.Or pick the mobo the case and parts that you want and have a computer store customize your computer for better performace and what you want.
It's better to build your own. It's not as difficult as people think and you know what you're putting into it.
