    Hey gang,
I have a stupid question (well it isn't stupid to me more like frustrating the hell out of me). I got a computer from a friend who said the botherboard was bad so I have replaced the motherboard and then found out the processor was fried too. So I replaced it today and the power supply but now when I turn it on I get nothing. No beeps, no creeps, and no squeeks. The fan on the processor starts and so does the one on the power supply but I get nothing on the monitor and no bios beeps. any ideas?
    thanks in advance
    Kelly

That's a problem having to do with the processor not being installed properly. Check and make sure it's sitting in the socket correctly.

Are you sure that processor is compatible with that mothedboard?

yeah it is an AMD athalon xp processor and the board is capabale of handling AMD processors even higher than the one i bought. I checked the seating and it seems to be ok the lock is down and the processor seems to be as far down as it will go
