ok.... i did not really know where to post this so if im in the wrong area point me to the correct one..

what im doing... i softmoded my xbox using mech assualt and the xploit for it... now that i finally got it moded i want a bigger hard drive. i had an extra 40g segate and used xboxhdm_v1.9 to clone the hdd, i got the cloning part to work(atleast i think). now my problem when i used xboxhdm_v1.9 and went to option 6 to creat the hdd key. i got the following err

drive on primary master is frozen, can not change the security status of a frozen drive! try to disable 'automatic detection' on the primary ide channel in your pc bios and reboot

well i have a comcrap as a computer and the bios options suck.. i came accross something called apic disabled it and tried option 6 again with no luck.. i have the eeprom.bin file but dont know what to do with it... could someone please explain or point me to it, what the locking and eeprom stuff is and does, and how to do it and if i can with the frozen drive.

do you only have the new xbox disc hooked up in your computer when doing this? if not, i would remove the cable from the computer hard drive and power and hook it up to the new xbox hdd and boot from cd rom, this is how i did mine and worked fine! let me know!

did you use the command lockhd -a

    i believe that is it!

but when you put your hdd in, before you found out it wasnt locked, did it give you the error code?

i found out what the problem was. my bios on my computer was freezing the security on the harddrive not alowing me to lock it. all i had to do was boot the computer then load xboxhd then hook up the harddrive to the computer so the bios did not freeze it then load the locking program and it worked,.
