I have no idea what brand the burner is. The only media I use is sony 8x at the slowest possible. I just started having problems when I used the sony 16x at the slowest possible. Here is my latest error log.

    MTM1970,
    Welxcome to the forum

    1.Last possible write address on media: 2295103 (510:01.28, 4482MB)
Last address to be written: 2286111 (508:01.36, 4465MB)

You are burning to close to the outer edge. See if you can set the target size to custom -4350

    2.TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND)
    Sense Key: 0x03 (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR)

The burner does not recog the DVD's brand you are using . A firmware update might help but I do not know what brand the burner is. You might need to go to the manuf. of the computer and ask them for any updates.

I'd try spOrin's method too. I use ImgBurn to look up the correct firmware for my drives and it is really fast.

    http://www.imgburn.com/

Open ImgBurn > Select Tools > Drive > Check for Firmware Updates.

It will take you to the correct page at rpc1.org as well as tell you the current firmware version.

Whatever drive is listed in the destination drop-down menu will be checked. Hopefully the actual name of your drive will show up there. You will have to know the make and model obviously.
