I have an Nividia Geforce FX5700 and when I turn on my computer it displays a message that says it is not getting sufficient power and that i should another hook up to the power supply. I was wondering if anybody knew where i could get ahold of that specific connector. Plus it seems to be having problems with the directx. Its says that hardware acceleration has been disabled and I can't find where to change that. Please Help!!...
It is as already said a 4-pin molex connector. If you don't have a spare, then just get a splitter. The NV35 chip needs extra power to operate correctly. Sort the power out before worying about the directx and acceleration, chances are it will allow you to enable it after it is powered correctly. The settings are here: http://www.deskshare.com/Resources/articles/dmc_turnoffhardwareacceleration.aspx
It may not allow hardware acceleration until it is powered up. Plug one of your normal molex power connectors in the slot on the board that looks like that. This is a molex connector Once you've done that, right click on desktop, properties, settings tab, advanced, troubleshoot tab, then change the hardware acceleration slider from "none" to "full".
I want to thank everyone who contributed for helping through this. Since i did this my pc has ran better. Thank you
