So what does the 3500+ really compare to in GHz? 3.5GHz?

A 3500+ would be like having a 3.5ghz P4 (which don't exist). Intel always pushed raw Ghz where as AMD used computations. Basically an AMD 3500+ even though its at 2.2Ghz can perform like a 3.5Ghz processor. But now with Intel's new Duo Core 2 things have changed.
