Ok so i bought driv3r installed in and it work perfectly until about 10 mins after playing it, it paused and the screen went black for about three seconds and a message came up saying VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands. Ive tried setting the graphics to the lowest possible and that doesnt work but i can play other games perfectly without lag and i have double all the requirements needed to play driver 3 but i dont know what the problem is. My graphics card is a Radeon 9250 128mb card and its about a year old (when i bought my pc). And i havent updated my drivers or anything(dont know how) so is it anything to do with that or is my card unsupported or something. If anyone has any ideas or knows what the problem is or knows how to fix it can you please tell me. Thanks Appreciate it.
Definately sounds like you need to update those drivers. Here is a link for the drivers for Windows XP for your video card. http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=22264 Hopefully this will solve the problem. ~Rich
I downloaded the drivrs and installed the right one and i went to my graphics card settings and clicked on the driver tab and the version was the latest one from the download so the installation had worked but i went to play Driv3r again and about 2 mins into game it did it again. Will adjusting the Performance and Quality slider bars in the graphics card settings help, half are set to quality and the other half is set to Performance. Or will buying a new graphics card help.Because i can get a Radeon 9550 128mb card for real cheap. And it can play oblivion and BF2 so surely its good enough for driver. Any ideas? Oh i also want to know if my Radeon 128mb 9250 can run most wanted because i am getting it tomorrow along with a racing wheel for it but not sure if i should get the radeon 9550 while im there.(if my current card cant support it that is.)
