CPU pins

    hey
    i just got a new cpu and for some reason one of my pins is already f**ked. it broke off. so any ideas on how to fix it?

    Sad to say, but I have used CPUs that have been missing 1 or more pins and they ahve worked. I got a 386SX a few years back from a friend, and it worked fine. I pulled it apart to clean it out and about 7 pins were bent over touching each other, but amazingly it still worked. Its up to you, but you can give it a shot and see what happens. Its not really recommended though. As far as repair, check this link out.

    well ill give it a shot and see if it works...if it dosnt then ill take it to my cousin and se if he can repair is, and if he cant...then i throw it out the window.
