I've been having this problem with Nero 6... When I try to burn a data DVD, I get an error that the verified material on the disc doesnt match the source... I defrag before I do data burns, or any burns so would that be a problem? I also burned a data CD and the verify failed. Here are my logs for each:

here is the log for the data CD:

Can anyone help? I keep burning coaster DVDs and cant keep wasting the money... (If it helps, I also installed Prassi Ones and had the same results, but have since removed the program and this occured before I installed Ones)

    Hi nanospyda
For the dvd's which brand are you using? Your log only show this:
Media type: DVD+R No media info. Maybe part of the problem.

For the cd's you are using Prodisc Technology Inc.
Can be decent - but try slowing the burn speed down to 24x or less.

    Physical memory : 254MB
    Free physical memory: 85MB
    Memory in use : 66 %

512mb would be best. Upgrade if you can. In the mean time keep as much free as possible - no multitasking and close all programs running that you can.

    Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS':
Nero & Roxio don't always play well toegther. Uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool to remove all traces.

The DVD+R media I've tried were Verbatim, Sony & Philips. I usually exit all programs when I burn...and burning at the lowest speed (2x) this is the first CD to mess up for me in years also (usually use Verbatim, Sony, Memorex & Imation)I will upgrade to 512mb for good measure

    Hi nanospyda
A different problem this time - your receiving a Reset occurred error.
So update your Nero to 6.6.0.18 (links above)

Set your hard drive back to DMA mode. Here's a guide if needed:
    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking DMA.pdf
Your drives firmware is up to date - last update 3/05 - but it still doesn't recognize these discs. So cut the burn speed down to 4x.

If these don't help - check all the connections to the drive - make sure secure in drive and mobo. Might even want to try swapping the 2 drives (or just leaving 1 in) on the secondary connection.
    Keep us posted.
