Hi - My friend let me borrow a movie he had burned onto svcd discs. I tried to play on my dvd player with no luck, and then I tried to play on Windows media and Real player...still no luck. I am obviously lacking basic knowledge in this area, so help would be much appreciated. The word centropy is written on the cd if that helps any.

Only appx. 50% of modern DVD players support SVCD and none of the basic media players for Windoze supports SVCD automatically since MPEG-2 codec is required.

Install/buy PowerDVD XP 4.0 or WinDVD 4.0 and use those to watch the SVCDs.
