I have a emachines T3120 with a sempron 3100+(Palermo 64-bit). I have tried many times to overclock the cpu but the bios is crippled by emachines. There are no overclock options. I have tried to use software to overclock but the overclock is never saved. It reverts back to the original speed every time I restart my PC. people have been telling me that it is possible to overclock an emachines with a little know-how like getting a third party bios. My motherboard is a FIC K8MC51G and there is no bios updates. Can anybody help me thanks
haha you have to get a new motherboard because i have like the exactly same problem. i have emachines t3104 but i sold it dont really care about it and got myself 939....... get abit or asus socket 754 micro mobo for sure it will work.
I have another question. Do Gateway, Dell and other big pc companies allow you to overclock their pc's?? is emachines the only one or are all of them the same?
Yes dell and other companies lock the bios's overclocking options. Best bet is if your lucky find a bios which isnt locked for that motherboard. ALthough youl need quite a lot of luck! Lecsiy
dont even try flashing the bios to FIC real bios it wont work i have tried it. it will crash all the time but the features are great but not stable.... i would advice you to get a new combo at frys or something if you do want to keep the emachines case or you can just custom a new computer
