i have a hp pc with a sis videocard and i want something better and i only have pci socket. please help me i want some thing whick can play call of duty and really nice new games just fine in medium detail. since i am only 14 i have to buy the card myself so just keep the price not high. i need a good deal that i can get for less money.
there really is no better card for a PCI slot than the geforce fx 5200 its cheap too but dont be around trying to play the most recent games either. i guess it would be able to play COD2 on low my sudjestion is to upgrade your system
out of all these which one is best GeForce FX, GeForce MX, Quadro4 XGLRadeon 7000, Radeon 9200, Radeon 9250, Radeon X1300. i think i have a 250 watt or 350 watt powersupply. which i best and then in order best to least best.
First off bat, there is no such ting as a Quadro4 XGLRadeon 7000. Quadro4 comes from nVidia and radeon comes from ATi also you cant really get those the quadro series are ment for workstations and the 7000 only supports DirectX 7. also the x1300 is PCI express so you surely cant buy that. the only options you have left are either MX, FX, 9200, 9250 you also need DirectX 9 compatible to play COD2 so you are only left with one choice- the geforce fx series from best to worst here they are geforce FX5200 geforce FX5500 radeon 9250 radeon 9200 geforce MX series ***all others are not compatible with your system***
really sorry for double posting please tell me if the grafix card u told me the geforce FX5200 or geforce FX5500 would last atleast a year of gaming. imean most of the new games would be compatible with this or not? or should i just buy a new pc instead of a video card. please recomend something i depend on u guys.

You wont find anything amazing for that. Especially with that psu. might want to upgrade your psu to at least 350 watts or higher before getting that card as appears to need extra power to run.

you need a 20 pin rectanglar connector & a 4 pin square connector to motherboard. psu dimensions ATX: 6x3.5x5.5", HxWxD. Most common. Uses 4 mounting screws. Mini-ATX: 5x3.5x5", HxWxD. Rare size. Uses 4 mounting screws. Can be used in a regular ATX case, but often not the other way around. MicroATX: 5x3x4", HxWxD. Use 3 mounting screws. Not interchangeable with ATX or miniATX.
ok one last question. if i buy a high end grafix card say from ati 1600 to ati 1900 or nvidia 7600 to a nvidia7900. would they be able to support direct x 10. please tell me if anyone of them cannot support direct x 10. if some other grafix card would be able to support direct x 10 please tell me as well. because i want my grafix card to last.
As of now, no graphics card is DirectX10 compliant. Only the new Generation 8 cards (GeForce 8800, Radeon X2800) will support that standard to the letter, and they're not out until later this year, and when they are out they'll cost a fortune and use a lot of power, so beware of that. Most DirectX 8 and above standard cards will play DirectX10 stuff fine, with just a little performance degradation. an X1900XT sure will. I wouldn't worry about DX10 certification too much. Windows Vista's the important component for DirectX10. If you're sticking with PCI, you can add a Radeon 9250 PCI without upping your Power supply I'd say. 250W is fine, it's the Dells with 145W PSUs that pose the challenge! However, to play the latest games in medium detail, you're looking at an intermediate range new card, something like a GeForce 7600GT or Radeon X1800GTO. That will need a new power supply and PCI express motherboard.
