We have been having a lot of trouble with Australian phones.
I have not seen one unlocked in months.
If you would please help me do some research I might be able to help.

    Select Menu. Select Settings-Phone Settings-Network selection-Manual.
Tell me what you see. What I am looking for is the identifying code, sort of like the Network'

address, which will look something like 505010. It is called MCC+MNC.(Mobile Country Code and Mobile

    Network Code)

There is also code that we need. It is called "Box Serial".
It is like a the PIN or combination lock that is programmed into the phone.
Most of the phones around the world use more or less the same Box Serial for the same model phone.
We have not been able to get the Box Serial that Telstra have their phones programmed with when the

phone is manufactured. That is why we cannot unlock the Auzi phones.

Perhaps you know someone who can find out these things.
    For what it's worth.
I can give you a code if you like but the chance of it working is slim.

[bold]Only try the code once and once only!!![/bold]

Please remember you only get 3-5 attempts before your mobile becomes hardlocked.

If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hardlocked.

If it is hardlocked you will get one the following messages Can Not Undo Restriction / Not Allowed

If you mobile is hardlocked the only way to unlock it is by taking/sending it to a professional unlocker.

Please make sure the information you give is correct before typing in the code.

    Here is your code: #pw+912092737071402+7#

    #pw+717660436537772+1#if needed

[bold]If the mobile gives no response/no message then do the following:[/bold] Insert a non accepted sim, press the undo button, a box should appear saying enter restriction code, enter the code given and press ok

Remove sim first, power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
    Press * 3 times fast for (p)
    Press * 4 times fast for (w)
    Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
    "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!

Please reply with your results. :)

I'll try your code in a few hours <Pazzini>, cheers.

<JoeGon>: Menu only gives the actual carrier names
    ie:

    Network Selection
    Telstra
    vodafone AU
    YES OPTUS

... So I will hunt around maybe first and ask a few folk and if I find the IDs you are after I'll get back to you. Gotta fly at the 'mo.

    Cheers

    Monsieur Jumpovitae.

    jumpovita,

Please remember that the codes are not guaranteed to work, like JG said Australian mobiles are a nightmare to unlock.

    Good luck

    Regards

Any info will be a big help to us.

    Mnc+ MCC
    Box Serial.
The Box Serial I think is the problem. If we had that we could help many people.
Do a search on this Site for 2600+Australia and see what you find.

    Thanks again,
    Joe

    jumpovita,

You are a Scholar and a Gentleman.

    Sorry I took so long.
My Internet has been down for four hours.
The Box you sent gives this code. If that box is correct, your phone will be the first I have unlocked.
I do not know any Network in the world that still uses that Box.

I know how late it is in OZ. I am some 12 hours behind you.

[bold]Please read ALL of the instructions below before you start.See the "Note:If nothing happens." below.[/bold]

Did you check with IMEI: *#06# ,Firmware Version: *#0000# .

    Nokia:2600
    IMEI:358394002806458
    Network:Telstra
    Country:Australia

    [bold]Is this correct?[/bold]

If you know the risks, try this [bold]ONCE and ONLY ONCE[/bold] and let us know if it works. You have only 3 to 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It will still work on your Network so no big loss.

    #pw+364926407523764+7#

Remove sim first, power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
    Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
    Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---

    [bold]IMPORTANT!![/bold]
Verify code before pressing the last #.
Pay attention. You only heve about two seconds.

[bold]Note:If nothing happens.[/bold] Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim.[bold] Before you do this, make sure the sim you use does NOT have a security PIN CODE. If it does, reset the security code to default 12345 with the original phone.[/bold] Insert a non accepted SIM and turn it on. You will see "phone restricted", select the UNDO option, then enter the code in the restriction box and press ENTER.

    "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.[bold]STOP[/bold] tell me.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

[bold]DO let us know if this works.[/bold]
Help us provide a better service.

    Hey there <JG>

    I tried
    #pw+364926407523764+7#

    and unfortunately got "error code"

I was careful about entering the code right, checking it char by char. ('Twas challeging since only 3 second delay is allowed and then screen is cleared again)

I tried this without any SIM card in at all.

    Aside:
The delays in replies on either side is no stress to me. I think the crew here @ AD is actually very prompt, generous and efficient. I am doing a lot of commuting and rural out of connectivity so I may only check mail once per day anyway.

    Kudos,

    Hi jumpovita,
    Sorry to hear that.

I think th key to all this is the Box codes.
We have lists apon lists of the official MCC+MNC codes.
The networks have more that one MNC assigned to them. we know what they are supposed to be using.
The Box code on the other hand is another matter.
The problem is not just with Telstra. We get the problem with all Auzi Networks.
Irf only we could get the right combination we could help hundreds of Auzi owners.

You can try this once. #pw+387156407523764+7#

What it has come down to is trying all the possible combinations we can come up with.

What we need is the Box codes and then it's still not done. Each phone model can use a different Box code and each Network can use a different Box code for the same model.
So you see the problem is huge.
What we need is some inside information from Australia and then we can help hundreds of Auzi owners.
If you do a search on this forum you will see what I mean.

    Good luck,
    Joe

    Error code. on #pw+387156407523764+7#

And that's 2 strikes. I've got associates with PC-mobile cables but I think I'll wait off the 3rd strike until working codes are found.

    Cheers for your efforts.

    Kind regards,

    jumpovita.

Would you do something for me please?
Put a NON telstra sim in the phone and turn it on. Tell me what you see.
Do not enter any codes. Just turn it off.
