    Hi there!

I was wondering if someone can help me. I have been having all manner of problems with my computer recently, and have bought a new (DVD writer PX 760A)and also Nero Express vision 3. Everything was going swimmingly until the other day! For about 2 weeks i had been able to add mpg2 files to the create dvd file, but now it just won't let me! I accept mpg1 but says that it is going to take over an hour to burn. The dvd writer won't let me determine the speed that it writes at, and is constantly stuck on MAX. It also accepts avi files! What the hell is going on!!!!!! Ahhhrrrrrrrr

Also my computer is making a really weird noise everytime i export something. It seems to be coming from the back of the computer not the speakers, and sounds like a really high pitch police car!!!!!I have been putting up for it for a few weeks now, but its has now taken over my head, and i go to sleep humming the dooo dee dooo dee noises!!!!! Help!

By the time NeroVision encodes and then burns, an hour doesn't seem necessarily unreasonable depending on the size of the project. If you are talking about an hour just to burn an already completed project, that is way too long.

Make sure the DMA transfer mode is enabled. See the guides below:

Uninstall your current version of Nero 6 and reinstall. Run the Nero 6 Clean Tool first:

Then install Nero version 6.6.0.18, the most stable:
    Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

As to the sounds coming out of your computer, it could be your hard drive or a fan. There's usually a fan in the back of most desktops. See if the sound is coming from there. They are easy and relatively cheap to replace. Is the sound intermittent at all? If it's the HDD, you need to get a new one pronto and backup, since it's on its way out.
