usb problem

    Hi guys; need help. in device manager i have a yellow exclumation mark. my question is how do i upgrade the driver. i don't have a usb driver disk, so how do i go online and update the usb port? also how do i know if i have high speed usb?

    what is the make & model # of the computer or motherboard?

    its a home built with and ASUS A8N-SLI with AMD dual core processor. NVIDIA nForce4 SLI series Rev.99.06. The processor is AMD's 4200 dual core.

    Thanks a lot for the info. I found my problem. I have an astronomical ccd camera and the driver wasn't installed. I installed the driver and I'm back in bussines. Thanks a lot tho, its good info to know.

    One of the usb ports does not want to read anything as if it wasn't there, and the other says that windows does not recognize that device on anything that i put in it. my other usb ports work and recognize anything.

    Try going into device manager and uninstall your USB controllers, than select your computer in the device manager and scan for new hardware. This should reinstall all your USB's and hopefully fix your USB port.
