My computer is [bold]slow[/bold]!!!!!! I was wandering if anyone had suggestions on whether I should get a new processor or more memory. I have a Dell Dimension B110. It sucks, but I didn't buy it and I'm too poor to buy the one I want. The processor that is in the computer right now is IntelĀ® CeleronĀ® D Processor 330 (2.66GHz, 533MHz FSB, 256KB L2 cache). I think it has 516 memory. What would be the best way to improve on my condition?

ur cpu is ok,you just need more ram,put atleast another 512mb in it,also if it is really slow and stuck, then you might have a virus, has it always been this slow?

Hardware all sounds fine... is it slow when you're playing new graphic intensive games or just checking email? If it's the latter, I would suggest just backing up and reformatting and reinstalling Windows XP.

The processor isn't so bad, 512 memory also isn't too bad, but it won't play any games because it has integrated graphics. If you're after playing games, you'll need an all-round better system., or certainly an actual graphics card.

The computer has always been slow. No matter what program I use. I blame some of it on my future father-inlaw. He bought the computer for my fiance. He got to it before I did and used that damned intellimover to transfer her files from her old computer. I have a sneaking suspicion other things were transferred. It took me over an hour to clean up the new computer from all the crap that was put on there. I know more about computers than the average person but I'm no expert. I do have more than adequate virus protection though. I will put more ram into it and hope that solves my problem. If that doesn't work I might try reformatting. Thank you for the suggestions.
