The old pc games use to allow a direct connect. Now it seems you have to go through a server to get connected with my friend. It appears slower than the direct connect also. They usually also come with a lan connection capability. I was wondering if there was a way to get games to directly connect to to each other if he lived in another house/town like you use to be able too over the lan. Would there be a way to some how get them into my lan? I know there is a way using ssh and putty.exe to connect to my house from work. Then i change the internet options and my IP at work is the samea s my IP at home. I wonder if its possible to use this with games some how or is there another program.
