my current DVD burner is a sony DVD RW DW -Q28A my current firmware is KYS3 on this web page it has many firmwares to download http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2097 they have KYR6, is this the latest firmware? and can i use this with this burner?
Usually the firmwares marked as "new" are the more recent updates. I would suspect that the KYS4 is newer than your firmware (KYS3). KYR6 is noted as new but the lettering format seems to have changed. I would definitely check the Sony download support page to be sure of which version is the latest Official firmware for your unit. I have used The Firmware Page for downloads, but I stick with the Official versions rather than Region Free versions.
