So i am looking to buy a new hard drive and I find out my motherboard needs to be SATA compatible to be able to connect the hard drive which i am after (http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=3YM1&CategorySelectedId=11154&NavigationKey=11154,47240000,45510000,11&InMerch=1&v=2#infoarea) however i fear my ageing motherboard may not be able to support the drive. i've scoured the asus site and googled my problem but can't seem to find an answer. could anyone tell me whether my motherboard is SATA compatible? cheers guys
i typed that board into google and it shot out many reviews for that item. The ones i looked at said ATA not SATA so your drive wont plug into your board at this time. You can always get a pci card to use as a connection. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815124020
