slave hdd support?

    i bought a dell cheapo for backing up dvd's but heres my Q? i have no where inside to slide a slave drive but i do however have a slave suported cable what do i do and will my hp hdd 80g work with my dell system?

    first off, your mobo has to support more than 1 ide drive
    next, for there to be a slsve drive, you have to get an ide cable that has two drive supports. It looks like an ide cable, but with 2 slots for HD's

    next, set both drives' jumper to cable select, enabling them to determine which one is slave, and which one is master

    cs also depends on the cable to tell which is master or slave. if have no place for 2nd hd internally than get an usb hd enclosure which you can use on different computers.
