about every 20 seconds limewire pops up after i shut it down. i went to options put it so it shuts down automatically and does not run when i turn on my computer but it still does. its never done this before. i dont know if this has to do with it but about a week ago this message popped up asking if i wanted to upgrade limewire to limewire 4.12.6. i said know but when i shut down limewire it did it anyway. someone please help - i did some research and found out i have a worm called "Alcra", which causes limewire to open itself. does anyone know how to get rid of it
There are many variants of Alcra and many antiviruses will rid it. Go here and run ActiveScan, when it finishes save the results. Download HijackThis, extract to it's own folder, run a scan and save the log, post that log here along with the ActiveScan log.
