My pc has been working fine for a year now but 2 days ago the monitor went blank. When I turn my pc on it sounds like it is botting up normally, however, the monitor displays nothing but a blank screen and the led light on it is orange. I tried reseating ram and vid card. I also tried a different vid card and vga connection cord but still got the same result. The monitor works as I have tested it on a different pc. I do not get any beeps unless I remove the ram or vid card and try to boot. Additionally, I have tried the ram sticks seperately. Here is a quick outline of my pc. MB- P4P800SE CPU- intel p4 2.8e prescott Ram- transcend 512mbx2 Vid Card- pny geforce 6200 128mb Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
sounds like a dead mobo to me try swithching it with another 1 if u can/ know how to it turns on but no video appears so if its not the monitor,the ram,video card it could b the mobo but b4 try resseting the bios or removing the pc battery for 2 min
