Run Mac OS X off of a External Hard Drive

    Could i run the MAC OS X off of an external hard drive without damaging the external drive?

    I know you're looking to run Mac OSX on the external, but here's the PC one. You can run bootcamp with this and windows XP. I don't know how well it is, or anything else. Check the site for more info.
    This one can run off an external USB drive. Of course, this would only be on the Intel Macs.

    I know you can run OSX, but the drive needs to be Firewire. I don't see why it would be damaged.

    I wouldn't do it. I have no use for it.
