    My system config. is
    AMD Athlon 3200+ WINCHESTER
    MSI RS 480 M2 MoBo
    Kingston 512 MB 400 MHZ
    WD Caviar 2500JS 250GB SATA
    Seagate 80 GB SATA
    Gainward 6800GS 256 MB nVidia GPU
    Cooler Master 430 W PSU

    I bought my PC in AUGUST 2005 & after a week whenever i play games on my PC,after few minutes the game freezes & system restarts with a flick.Sometimes i see BSOD which says the erroer of nv4_disp.dll & says that the device driver got stuck in infinite loops.I thought that this must be the problem with the GPU(I was having nVidia 6200 TC) so i decided to change the GPU & i bought POWERCOLOR X800XL which was a decent card,& the problem remains the same.Somebody told me that i should change the HDD & may be the RAM.So i changed the HDD & used leased RAM from a friend (2x1 GB Corsair XMAS 400) but it also didn't make out.Then i changed my GPU to nVidia 6800GS & hoped that something will change,but didn't got anything.
    I also tried several forums & everbody says about to change those things that i have already done.Now i m tired of changing hardware & dont wanna spend more money on my RIG.

    PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE Help me to solve out this problem.

    if you have changed al that and the problem still persists id guess its the mobo as its all thats left, although that first error sounds like a driver issue, are you using the same driver on 6800 as you was for 6200? if not whats your temps like in the case because you dont mention any fans

    I would install the latest drivers for your videocard as I would bet that that is most likely the issue. Heck it says driver right in the error description.

    Well Thanks for replying me!!!
    ok I used almost all drivers starting from 81XX to 91xx.Drivers aren't the problem & secondly i m using stock fan for GPU & COOLER MASTER HYPER 48 fan for my CPU & i guess the tempreature is not the issue with my system coz thecabinet is open from all sides & i kept it just 3 feets away from air conditioner & the AC directly blows air into it.I also checked the temp of GPU several times & its shows 29 degrees which i believe not a high temp for the hardware to heat up.

    If i have to change the Mobo please suggest few of the decent & almost of the same price range.

    @avalanche

    Their is no need for a new mobo. I pulled this article right from a issue of Maximum PC that dealt with diagnosing blue screens and fixing the problem. The article read as follows...
    There you have it avalanche, a published article describing your blue screen problem and giving exact instructions on how to fix it.

    *Article written by Paul Lilly, Maximum PC 2006, Vol.11 No 9

    @avlanche

    What game are you running? What are the minumum videocard/cpu specs for the game in question? How much power does your videocard need? How much power is supplied by your PSU? Whats your cpu clocked at? And a good way to help your game out is to purchase some more ram 512mb is good....for internet surfing. For pc gaming nothing less than 1gb will do. Also a clean format/install would give you a clean intall period. So the drivers you installed before should be gone and the new ones should be there.

    just curious as to which chipset is on the mobo? if it is nvidia which i am assuming it is, then try updating the mobo drivers and bios. that might help.

    Sorry Everyone long time...Anways

    1.Mostly i love racing so i play NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED & my pc specs are exceeding the minimum requirement & this is not it i also play CRAZY TAXI 3 & many more but they all have the same problem.

    [bold]MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED
    ===========================
    Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional,
    or Windows XP Home operating system
    Intel Pentium 4 (or equivalent) CPU running at 1.4GHz or higher
    32MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (Geforce2 MX or higher) using a
    supported chipset (see below)
    256 MB RAM
    DirectX compatible sound card
    3 GB of HD space
    8X CD-ROM[/bold]

    2.As per the videocard power consumption is 300 Watt PSU & mine is 430 Watts so i believe the PSU is not the issue.
    3.CPU is at stock [bold](NO OVERCLOCKING)[/bold]
    4.I clearly mention in my first post that [bold]leased RAM from a friend (2x1 GB Corsair XMAS 400)but it also didn't make out[/bold] that is actually 2GB of RAM of 1GB each stick.So another 512 MB is not required...

    5.And yes u can check motherboard specs on the MSI site:
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=639

    Another thing that i 've seen on the MOBO's box its mentioned that the mobo is for the ATI radeon series.

    go to the gainwood website and find the driver for your card and download it, then unistall the forceware driver but dont restart it when it asks you to, click on restart later, then go to my computer then drive c and delete the folder named nvidia and empty your trash can, now restart it. when it boots up you will get a bolloon on the bottom right saying "found new hardware" stop the install wizard and use the driver you got from gainwood.

    then cross your fingers and hope for the best.

    if this doesnt work i dont know

    [bold]edit[/bold]

    extra ram might not be needed but, imho, you should have at least 1g to get the best out of games (some newwer ones, such as fear, like 2g)

    Anyways everybody finally i 've changed the motherboard to MSI RS 482 M4 -ILD.Also i found that the older motherboard(RS480M2-IL) doesn't support nVidia graphics card,its on their website in FAQS.Now this(RS482) motherboard runs absolutely fine with the graphics card.
    Thank you very much guys for ur help!!!You guys ROCKS!!!
