ok i recently bought a used laptop and to my dismay everything on it was locked...I tried everything to get past user login, cracks, etc.(safemode even required a password)(bios was locked too(backdoor passwords didnt work)). SO, i ordered a laptop hdd to pc adapter and i connected my locked laptop hdd to my pc. I go into "My Computer" on the pc the laptop hdd is connected to and it shows its connected!!!!! I can access all the files in the locked hdd through my main pc. SO, what i want to know is if it is possible to remove a login password by deleting /changing a file in the "C:" folder? can someone tell me what to delete/change? Please thanks in advance
remove the cmos battery from laptop for a few minutes with power disconnected. that will reset the bios back to default with no password enabled. contact the person you bought the laptop from for password.
i cant do a fresh install because the bios is set to "do not boot from cd" and the bios is locked so i cant change it!!
i said thanks in advance... but im not here to start a flaming competition, ok my BIOS is unlocked but there is still a login password... The laptop is running Windows 2000 NT, how can i bypass/remove the pass?
if can't use safemode because of password & can't contact old laptop owner than probably better off with fresh install.
