iPod file or directory...\iTunesPrefs is corrupt

    When I went to connect my iPod to my computer (PC) all my songs had been erased. I also get the message "itunes cannot read the contents of the iPod "IPOD". Use the iPod software updater application to restore the iPod to factory settings. When I go to the iTunes website to download the latest version it tells me the download is successful but when I look at the iTunes properties it looks like I am still using version 6. I have Norton running if that makes a difference

    maybe you have to delete it from ur computer then try reinstalling it
