Internet on my PSP:
I've bought a PSP, I would like to access the internet on it.
But i saw something about you can only do this if you have wireless internet.
I have NTL broadband, if i buy a router and use a port from that to connect it to my PSP would this work?
Any help on the psp is welcome.

I'm not sure I understood you correctly there. If I had...
....Then NO!
You can not use a Wired Router W/Ports, there beeing of course no Port on the PSP™ to connect the other end to! Had it been that easy we all wouldn't be here now would we?!?!
You'll have to get a Wireless (think Cordless Telephones), Router to use any of the Network functions of the PSP™. That or either hook up with a friend with another PSP™ who has the same Game as your or has a Game that supports Shareing, via a Ad-Hoc Mode.

Thanks, So it looks like i'll have to buy a wireless router
i've found one on Ebay for £15 - for that cheap would it be reliable?
Any help on the psp is welcome.

Are you stupid??? Sorry for that didn't mean it! You dont realy conect your PSP to you Cable Modem, you need a wireless router, conect you router to your cable modem the conect you PSP tp you Wireless router wirelessly!!!

No, it is all wireless!!! YOU NEED A WIRELESS ROUTER FOR IT TO WORK, not just a cable modem!

TIME TO RETAKE THE THREAD WELL FIRSTLY. TO PPL WHO HAVE ASKED ALL YOU NEED IS A PSP, WIPEOUTPURE AND A WIRELESS ROUTER(OR A NEIGHBOUR WITH 1 ^^) OR JUST A PSP AND WIRELESS ROUTER. IF U HAVE WIPOUTPURE THEN GO INTO UPDATE OR DOWNLOAD IF U DONT GO INTO SETTINGS AND UPDATE YOUR PSp MAKING A BUILT-IN BROWSER JAVA.
AS FOR MSN OR AIM ECT. GO IN GOOGLE AND FIND 1 I HAVE FOUND 1 FOR MSN ITS MOBILE MESSENGE OR SUMMET CANT REMEMBER IT YET AND MY PSP BATTERY IS DEAD. DO NOT I REAPEAT DO NOT DOWNLOAD A MSN MESSENGER BECAUSE IT MAY CONTIAN VIRUS ECT. AND IT WONT WORK !!!

hi, im intreged by this thread, but i tried it without a wireless ruoter and it worked i have version 2.01 and all i did was have a usb cable in while i connected, took it out and im away, thanks guys, ne1 need any help. email removed
