Guys i have problem with PSx game. When we playing psp game on the memory stick we can see the image or the icon of the game such as if i hv GTA game i can see the GTA icon. But the PSX i can't see the icon of my game i only see the PS1 Icon??? How to make the icon of the game???

Grab your pic, open with Nero photoshop or similar, select RESIZE, 144x80, save as ICON0.PNG.
Then use PSPBrew to change the pic.

Hah. Well if you're trying to get an image of one you own then you could scan it. Unless you don't have one... :D

I have aquired some games that are already supplied in the eboot.phb and keys.bin formet, but I want to compress them. Do i have to change them back to an ISO? If so what program do I use to make those 2 files into an ISO?

I figured it out... Didnt know you could extract the ISO from the .PHB file with Popstation...

well im stuck hotshot golf 2 shows up on the ms but once you click it my screen goes black what am i doing wrong i got eboot and key of metal gear solid on it please help im new to this?

i just ripped my copy of re2 leons disc and im having trouble, im running 3.03oe-b, does that have anything to do with it not working bc you would think and updated version would run it too

BTW Sudds, I've got friend who has 2.50 and wants to downgrade to 1.5, those links in your sig should to the trick right? I mean can he upgrade from 2.50 to 2.71 SE and then the rest?

I am also having problems running final fantasy 7 on my psp from my own cd. I am using isoedit to make an iso and autopopstation to convert it to an eboot. Everything seems to work fine until i try to load the game and it just leaves a black screen. Can anyone help me? I have read through this forum and i have tried renaming the folder in psp/game to FINAL FANTASY 7 DISC ONE and also to the SCUS it uses to save and the same result happened with the black screen. I am running 3.03 OE-B and the hot shots golf game works fine. I compress all my iso to level 9 with autopopstation could that be part of the problem or is it just the rip?
I have used 3 different versions of Nero, the alcohol demo, clonecd, magiciso, burnatonce, and a few others and none could make me an iso in plain iso format except burnatonce ut i deleted it since i the screen was black and i thought it was ripping badly. So if you offer me any help please explain it in detail.

Also i cannot figure out how to make an iso of games that have files in them already when you put the cd in your drive such as when you put in resident evil it brings up a system file, a folder, and its scus save file. The final fantasy games are just blank when you load them in your drive. Can anyone tell me how to make isos of the games such as resident evil?

im guessing it matters because the keys.bin (i'm guessing) is what a normal legal downloaded ps1 iso would use in the certificate utility so i hope that helped you a little bit

No, you can use any KEYS.BIN file, but instead, you can generate them with the ISO converter. The KEYS.BIN just verifys that it is a PlayStation game, if it had any security lock or something similar, we couldn't play Final Fantasy 7, or any other PS1 games that aren't available for purchase at the Sony store.

hi, i just gave my psp to a friend of myne to downgrade it to fw 1.5 and then to the custom fw 3.03 OE-B. he did it but he had told me that the psx emulator comes with it, when i went to games on my psp there was no emulator. is there a way to get it? Also i tried putting on programs and they dont work, for example i tried putting lua player and i followed the insturctions that were given but one of the files would say corrupted and the other proper with the icon but when you load that up it says game could not be started. Is there a way to add on the programs desighned for fw 1.5 to this 3.03 OE-B fw??? Srry i'm a noob at this stuff

i don't think it actually shows the emulator but if you click on the psx game itself, it should start. at least thats how 3.02 OEb is.

Yeah, that's right. It'll just launch the eboot for a PSX game... there's no application built in to the firmware if that's what you're wondering.

Thankx for the information, but i dont know where i can get psx games. does any one have web links to download games ? Also the ISO folder stuff, i have no clue what that is but in myy memory stick i dont have the mp root folder any more and it was saying that are some folders in there? Would some body be able to maybe send all the original files that would have came with the firmware version 3.03 OE-B?

Im not sure what your talking bout but the ISO folder on the root of my memory stick holds psp isos (psp games). if you search any torrent site you should be able to find psp or psx games.
