Yes mate if you have no cables the best place to go i think is maplin if you have 1 in the area and ask them for an rs232 cable and the rest i'll email you

Is anyone having problems with sound being out of sync - only on certain channels (most of sky movies and hallmark plus disney at moment) Been like this for about 3 days now

yes me 2 no sound on sky movies 5 back on today after 2 days

Has anybody tried to connect the boxes via the coaxial connection and got a picture and no sound.

Would be grateful to find out if thisi is just mine or is happening to other peopes boxes as well.

Does anybody know of a fix ?? ( Thats a big ask )

I wondered if anyone had tried connecting the cable out to the ant in to get 1,2,3,4,5 and cable through the coax out put as before i was only able to get either 1,2,3,4,5 or cable through it . but linking the 2 mentioned you get both .
Any further advice on this subject would be most appreciated .
How often is new software released for this box.

hi im a newcomer and a total beginner so pls have patience with me lol, i have d same prob as in all my channels have gone blank and it says data is being updated,it starts at 0% and goes as far as 120% and then it just freezes,i really hope somebody can help?

connecting the star view box with the coaxial to another tv in another
room and i got a picture but no sound

so i tried changing some settings
pressed menu
went down to user setup
then modulator and i set it to PAL I

sound is now working

does any one know where I can get a starview box from cheap my email is i'manidiot.com edited by ddp

I bought mine off ebay mate i had rs232 cable and the installation cd but had to d/l the update but i have that if you need it i bought mine brand new £115 dunno if they are cheaper now!!

why not use the software to update your box , it is pretty easy to use & it will update itself

i cant get my starview box to stay full screen , i have tryed changing from 4.3 and 16.9 but i keep getting black bars at the side all the time , i am running 257 on it
