Make sure that your homebrew folder is set to 1.50 and make sure you put the app in the GAME150 folder.

So I should roll back to 1.50 in order to use USB SSS? Can't I just directly play it on 3.40 OE-A?

No stay on custom firmware and in the recovery mode menu change the homebrew folder to 1.50 and put the app in folder GAME150.

Yeah, that's what I've been saying to downgrade to 1.50 you need a GTA v2.00 and use it with the 3.03 downgrader. EX. Upgrade to 3.03 from 2.81 and downgrade to 1.50 with GTA v2.00.

Im back, I got a gta but reading some of the posts regarding the unpatched verion is really confusing me, I have the us version "ulus 10041 updl 004850. when i load it , it says at the bottom "psp update version 2.0". so I guess this is the patched 2.0 version, so i guess this wont work...

It doesn't look like I can edit my post so I'll have to double post...
Is this the way to play PSP games that are larger than your memory stick?
Like if my memory stick is 1GB, can I play a game that's 1.4GB from my computer by just connecting it to my PSP via USB?

No, a v2.00 will always work. 2.00 is the un-patched version and 2.60 is the patched version. As long as it is 2.00 it should work.

TO: thisdude
About the "PSP" folder from 3.03 downgrade file. I have a psp folder already on my mem root after reformatting. is it ok to overwrite that folder since it says to put the 3.03 downgrader "PSP folder to the root of mem stick?

ok, i tried replacing that folder anyway"OVERWRITE". now when i load gta it wont go to the loading saved game. should i run the x.yz update first? I checked the system info and its showing up 3.03

Ya, i had a feelin that youd be busy lately. Now i cant decide which upgrade to do. I hear different feedbacks and opinions about upgrades. If i want to play newer iso games what would you recommend me 3.10oe-a? And is the USB special storage works on that fw too? I had to ask you coz if i try to read all the posts in this site it will probably take me weeks to figure out which way to go?

just noticed the game SOCOM(US navy seals fireteam bravo) also has a 2.0 update. you think that would also work for downgrading from 2.81-3.03 to 1.5?

nope only GTA with 2.0 update can be used for downgrade.

Not all games with a fw 2.00 will work. Only the GTA: LCS will work because an exploit was found in it which then allowed the unsigned code (eg Downgrader) to work.

I have firmware 1.5, with custom firmware 3.40 OE-a. I have been ripping games with New UMD Dumper v0.2, some have been working, mainly the older ones, but when I try newer ones like, Gun, port. ops, luxor, and rachet and clank, they just go to a black screen forever. Is there another umd dumper I should be using? Or should I downgrade my custom firmware? I tried ripping each of the games at least 6 times, so its not a bad rip
