StarView Box 3 - No channels found

i just got the box a week ago , and it was ok, for some reason only 5 channels now, does it need flashed already.

Ok relax Its just a bit annoying when people start running all over the place and we try and help but dont get a reply to say if it worked or not, we are all learners on this site, and your problem could have been discussed previously, so really you should have a nose around before posting as the answer you need could be on the previous page,
Ok here goes... press menu then press 1570 you will see a line saying nagravision, below that there is a line that says EMU, this should be on, please try this
when i press menu the only thing that comes up is installation, parent control, channel edit, user setup, factory settings, system information,and when i press menu again it goes back to blank screen there is no line that says emu.
Right stay here dont move!!Ha Ha!
press menu.. then press the number 1570
this brings you into a hidden menu..
come back when you do this..

sorry mate but am not into all this tech stuff,and a flash to me means something you clean the floor with thats how much i know i wouldnt even know what to do with it am only being honest,if i got told how to use it then then i would thanks for your help.

des is responding to someone else about the flash read the user name on the post,now will you please listen carefully when you press menu then press 1570 nothing comes up on the screen when you press 1570 it takes you into a hidden menu at the end of the hidden menu is emu using the > button on your remote switch it to on then exit to a premier channel ie sly sports and wait for it to come on.

could bud... why not try manually putting in codes and this will get you going till the next change any way
try this:
To put keys in manualy do as follows.
press menu
press 1570. this takes you into secret menu
Hit ok on nagravision
and change both keys 00, and key 01
Make sure your cable provider is listed at top NTL or TELEWEST C&W CHORUS ect you have to only input keys for your provider
To change between the 2 keys
highlight key number press right and left
When changed hit ok (To store) after each one..
(YOU MUST SAVE EACH KEY INDIVIDUALLY - I.E. AFTER CHANGING KEY 00 MAKE SURE
YOU STORE BEFORE CHANGING KEY 01 (TO STORE PRESS OK)after this make sure your emu is turned on then go to sly sports and should update

first check there isn't a cable problem in your area then check all your connections are secure ie coaxil into cable input on box and scart securley fixed in to tv scart on box, if you have the cable split take away the splitter and try the box from the main feed.
