YAHH2009,
Good now we are getting somewhere, we know the battery is working.
You are still on official
sony firmware so we need to work on creating the mem card to change that.
You should be using win XP 32 bit version on your computer.and your
psp should be plugged in to the power cord with the battery removed.
Did you download the 3 files or the one large one? These are at the begining of this thread on the first page.
Their is another guide for making the mem card with a
psp that already has 1.5 or custom firmware but that wont help you since you are on official firmware.
hook up your
psp to your computer with the
usb cable, enable usb in the psp menu and find out what drive letter it becomes on your "my computer" folder where your C drive and stuff is.You will need this later.
After downloading the installer files or file ( I recomend the single large one) then you have to unzip them or extract them. Pay attention to what folder they are extracted or unzipped to. Then go to that folder and click on start
exe in that folder.
Next select language you prefer, I have to use english, and hit enter on your computer. Then type in your psp drive letter that you established above and hit enter on your computer. select continue to pandora installer (1) and hit
enter on your computer.
At this point disable usb connection via the psp menu(system settings), then format the memory card via system settings/format memory card.after that enable usb connection again and hit enter on your computer.Press ENTER on your computer when it ask to insert new disc (you should already have the Memory Stick in since you just formated it).
It will scan the Memory Stick.
Type Y then ENTER when it ask if your sure you want to format.
After it is done formatting, take out the memcard without toughing any buttons.Disable usb connection on the psp menu again.
Then insert the Memory Stick and enable the USB again.
Then Press any key on the computer keyboard to continue.
Select Option 4 "Universal unbricker for FAT or SLIM (This installs custom firmware 3.71 M33-2)" and Press ENTER.
The files will now be installed to the Memory Stick, but not the psp yet.
After it has finished writing the files, Just type Y and ENTER to finish the instillation of files to the Magic memory Stick.
Press any key to close the DOS box (window).
Now go to the ADD_ON folder that was included with the downloaded installer files from the very beginning of this guide.open up the folder and you should find two files named PSP and 1.50.PBP. You are going to drag them to the memory card. Go to "my computer" and drag those two files right on top of your psp drive letter. It will ask you if you want to over write the psp folder. click yes to all button. When finished you can enter the psp drive folder and delete some files that are not needed. They are despertar_cementerio, pan3xx, ospbt, pandora_battery and pandora_battery%. They are found in a folder named GAME that is in a folder named PSP.
After that close out any windows you have open on your computer and disable usb connection on your psp then unplug the usb cord.
Now Place you pandora battery into your psp, with the power cord already disconnected. Then turn it on if it doesnt come on by itself.
Two lights should start blinking on the bottom left of the psp letting you know it is booting off the memory card. The program should come up with a menu. X will install 3.71 M33-2 to the PSP.
Turn off psp when it is done, then remove the pandora battery and turn it on. you will probably have to reset the date and stuff at this point if it went well.
After setting the date and stuff, then you go to the psp menu/mem card and select mux update to update to a newer custom firmware.
Hope this helps, Dont forget to look at the pictures at the begging of this thread to see what you should be seeing. If you still have problems let me know in detail where things look different than this guide is stating and i will try to help. I am going to work on my truck outside so I wont be back at my computer for a while.
I claim no intelligence of my own, I am just interpreting what I have read from this guide that worked for me.
To the creator of the guide and to the creators of pandora and installer, we are not worthy!
