   hi.my mom bought some cd-r and their speeds are 48x but she also bought cd-rw and the speed is 1x-4x.i was just wondering is that the regular speed for a cd-rw or should it also be 48x in order to be compatible because i dont want to test them because i may return them

   The speed is right for those CD-RW's. They are re writeable where as CD-R's aren't & have higher rated burn speeds.
