ok I have choice between the HP Pavilion dv2020ca and the HP Pavilion dv2040ca. Difference you ask?the 2020 has: AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-50, 1.6GHz, 256KB+256KB L2 Cache and the 2040 has: Intel® Centrino® Duo mobile technology featuring Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2050 1.6ghz However the 2040 has 120 gig hdd while the 2020 has 80 gig. the 2040 has: Intel® integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 950 2020 has: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) whats better!! im not a gaming guy however i do play games occasionally like empire earth 2 or rise of nations... which one should I go with please!! thanks
The 2020 sounds like a better deal. The AMD is a better processor in general, though the Intels have a better rep for speed at encoding. *HOWEVER* in order to take full advantage of the AMD, you'd need to run 64-bit Linux. Although a 64-bit version of XP exists, it's hard to get, and there are very few Windows applications that will make use of 64-bit hardware. The AMD is still better with 32-bit Windows though.
