i wuz just wondering if i could put a movie on a dvd from my computer without a burner. if it is pease tell me how to
Maybe you could try to copy and paste the DVD. You could use a hammer and chisel. Maybe some crayola crayons. You could always try to print the movie by inserting the DVD into your printer and have it print the movie on the DVD. I hope you have relized that I am being sarcastic. You need a DVD Burrner to burn a movie to DVD.
Larry..... be nice to the Newbies...... you were once a Newbie,too! Remember! Like when Bambie first stood up on shaky legs!!!! come on! don't insult the Newbies! You can rip a movie to your hard drive without a burner..... but you do need a DVD burner(writer) to put the movie onto a DVD. No magic wand treatment (I lost my fair g-dmother a long time ago!).... just technology!
I understand they are a newbie but how else would you get a movie onto a DVD without a burrner. Plus they would know if they took the time to read the vast post on this forum site. Yes we all where newbies at some point. But most will and should read other post which in most casses should get you started on backing up a DVD.
Yes indeed...while I must confess I got a laugh out of your response Larry (and even mentioned it in another thread LOL), IHOE is right, we must be nice to the newbies even if it seems like a dumb question. I actually just started a thread in the saftey valve on this subject because things were getting pretty glib lately. I posted my very first thread on AD where I found out that I'd just spent three damn days trying to erase DVDs that were unerasable LOL! So while I got a laugh at your response, it made me think of my first really dumb visit here LOL!
and I thought I was bad (when I was a NEWBIE)for buying a new computer becuase I was having trouble with Memorex media!!!! when there was nothing really wrong with my old computer other than the Memorex media and the software that was not updated! But..... I got a new computer!!!! LOL hahahahahahaha hI gERRY! How ya doin?
That actually happens allot. Newbie’s thinking they need a better computer to make copies of there DVD's. I have seen it allot on all different forums. Sometimes they actually do need a better computer. But this is the first time I have seen someone ask if there was another way to put a movie on a DVD without using a burner. I guess my suggestions wasn’t very nice and I apologize but I kind of liked the hammer and chisel 1 I guess I am too cautious when it comes to asking a question that might make me feel stupid for asking. That’s why I usually will search a while and try to figure out stuff on my own. Which in most cases you can always find a solution to your problem if you search enough. @gerry1 That actually isn’t as bad as you think. I read the post on the DVD+RW disc. I actually did the same thing. I think it is stupid that some manufactures label them that way. That would be an easy mistake for newbie’s. But I truly am sorry if I offended anyone. I was just trying to add a little humor to the post. The last thing I want to do is run people off. But I do think that a little research would have answered this question. (First post edited)

larrylje all that person was asking was to know if he could put a movie on his hard drive with out a burner! not burning a dvd! and you being a senior member should know better not to say what you said! and yes you did say you were being sarcastic, but as Senior Members we should refrain from doing these things to newbies, they might not come back and we need new people to give fresh ideas, hopefully he will come back and not get pissed and leave, and always remember do to others as you wish to be done to you, have a nice day

If you think that Larrylje was too harsh on the Newbie then you have a thin skin...... we both were kidding around! There will always be a few that can't take humor. But I will refrain in the future from doing it in other post. But keep in mind just because your a newbie dosent excuse you from using the search function of this forum to find the answer to your questions before asking it. I am sure most Senior members & Addicts have used the search function to gain most of their knowledge and not post questions that have already been asked and replyed to. I know I have gained allot of knowledge from this site and hope newbies do come and use the knowledge of others and learn. But before posting a question on something, do some research before posting it because 90% of the questions that are asked daily could be found in the forum already if members just took the time to search. Also I wanted to give a shout out -- GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!! Beat those Yanks
