I have a new Toshiba laptop and an RCA RS2600 bookshelf stereo. The stereo is fairly old. I would like to know how, if its even possible, to connect my laptop to my stereo. I wanna play the music on my laptop thru my stereo speakers. Any information would be helpfull. Thank you.
DOes the RCA unit have an AUX input? If it does you can connect the headphone jack of your laptop to the AUX input of your RCA unit by a simple (Tandy) cable. If the AUX input is by the wa of a pair of RCA inputs, all you need is a 2.5mm stereo jack that terminates to RCA (the red and black) ends and you are on your way. Just one point, due to the fact that you are using headphone jack and not a line out from the laptop, keep the vol of the source low and adjust final vol with the stereo
