i have followed all directions , why won't this image show up in my signature field?

That's becos avatars aren't supported on the Ad website... you can have pics in your sig by
[img]your link here[/img] <------ Lower Case letter for the tags BTW

the pics are on my hard drive, tried to upload pics under my account STILL no thumbnails.

Ok go to photobucket.com and register. Upload your pics.
The copy the http link from photobucket into your sig area like this...
[img]YOUR LINK FROM PHOTOBUCKET HERE[/img]

And then you're done.

That's becos you dont listen. I said earlier not to use UPPER CASE letters for your tags it should be [img] and [/img] NOT [IMG] and [/IMG]!

in future send yourself PM's (Private Messages) instead of using the forums to test sigs etc
