I downloaded all the maps from mimesis. I set up united map pack maps to run wenever i rename u$ in in 64 folder and mainmenu.map. I was renaming it back whenever I wanted to use the minmesis maps. Then I downloaded ownage mods from brute mods and patched the new maps with the ppfs. It worked fine for a while now all of a sudden no maps will load. I tried reinstalling from halo2 disc and reloaded multiplayer mappack cd and still no maps will load. I cleared all cached drives also. I also tried playing directly from cd and acsension and all maps won't load. When i put the disc into my unmodded xbox it works fine. Damnit this really sucks! Does anyone have any idea what to clear to get my maps to load again. This is only a problem with Halo2 on my modded xbox.
Heres a good solution. Get all your directory files back to the way they were before you tried installing the Mimesis pack. Rename all those files back to normal and erase all H2 content. Then make sure you have the current M$ dash, then re-rip H2 to the HDD and edit the mainmenu.map file under Dot-Halo to include the maps individually. Thanks for the help. I have no idea how to put the all the files back the way they were before I installed mimesis. But i discovered that the maps not loading is a weird caching problem. If I open the maps one by one in their current state they take about 20 minutes to launch but once each map is launched once, it launches after that instantly without a problem. So i plan to launch them all one by one in system link mode without actually playing till i go through them all. This is tedious but it works. I will probably try your dot halo tutorial though when i'm done so i won't always have to rename mainmenu.map everytime I switch mappacks. Thanks again Famitsu
