Installing Fordora (I believe) in class, but cannot locate HDD. (Was told it couldn't locate HDD in Windows installation either) HDD is seen in CMOS and all drivers are loaded...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Is your HDD SATA or EIDE? I think you need to make your CD-ROM Primary slave if it is not already and HDD primary. I had the same problem with windows and Linux installation.

It's a SATA Drive, but I'll have to look at it tomorrow when I get back in the class about it being a slave.

Thanks for the help so far...

Before i start answering this, what is it you are trying to do ?
Are you installing the drive in class, for use at home ?

There is a SATA drive in a computer at school and the teacher is installing Fordora 5 on there (and he mentioned it works for windows, but i do not know if he is trying to dual boot) but when you start the installation of fordora (selecting the graphical interface) it looks for a hard drive and doesn't see anything (teacher stated that the cabling is correct and has the correct drivers and I mentioned something about the controllers to him but he really didn't answer which maybe is a hint)

still need some help...thanks for it so far...
