    Hi all
I hope that someone can resolve this one for me.
I have got three cd drives installed in my machine, and up until recently they have been working fine. But then suddenly one fine morning they had changed into "non-permanent disks" in my explorer window. Since then I can't open my cd's. Strangely enough the problem only occurs in Explorer, and not in e.g. Nero burning Rom.
Now I know that something must have happened, but I just don't know what. I haven't (to my knowledge at least) installed any new programs or made any changes to my system. Afterwards I have checked the system everywhere, but havent been able to come up with anything.
    Any suggestions?

I'm running a dual boot system with ME and W2K. The problem only occurs in ME - And NONE of restore points works. They never does.

Install anything recently? Does anything happen if you uninstall the device and reboot?
