    Hello,

A relation of mine has just switched to broadband and is now using a wireless router, now this may sound stupid but can the router be switched off while not in use and will the PC and router remember the settings such as the WEP key. Most of the time it is not used so this is why it might as well be off. Sounds stupid but it thought it might be like a VCR which forgets the time etc when turned off.

    Thank You For Your Help.

You can simply unplug it. idk if it will keep its settings if its unpluged too long: but i know you can just turn off the wireless part
simply put your router IP add. into your browser if you need help finding it i think you can use HTTP://www.portforwarding.com thats for port forwarding but it also tells you the address to put into your browser to turn off the wireless
access i hope i helped you a little if not im sry :)
