Why not just use Schtrom v3? ALOT less button mashing. With Schtrom you just select your drive, select the destination, and click extract. That's it. In about 10 minutes you have your stealth .000 and .dvd files. Then just burn with clone.

It does all the work for ya... honestly. Just click, click, click and in 10 minutes you have your .000 and .dvd files. Then you just burn with clone. That's everything from start to finish.

I downloaded the schtrom software and gave it a go but i keep getting a message saying 'security sector extraction is currently not full supported on the SH-162C! Inject the ss.bin later'

Am i doing something wrong then?
where do i get the ss.bin from and how do I inject it?

Sounds like you got an older version. The latest of schtrom is v3.0.

Just put it in. There's nothing special you have to do once it's burnt.

You need to flash your 360 dvd drive to play backups or your originals.

Yep... needs opened and voids the warranty. You'll also need some pc knowledge, as flashing gets a little technical.

Did you go under "Misc> Options" and set the drive and disc type? Gotta set it to Xbox 1 for original xbox games.

yeah,i did that.but it doesnt seem to save.if i change it and exit then go back in again it goes back to xbox360.jerecho might be right also.the disc has quite a few scratches on it.its mainly the reason i wont to back it up.Could that be the reason i get the ss.bin errors?
