I bought a gamecube, and I also bought a Qoob Pro mod chip, is there anyway to get it to boot a good backup from a mini DVD-R? I've calabraed the laser, tried to recalabrate it until i found out it wouldn't allow it. What BS is this? I buy a mod chip so i can backup my games and play the backups. And i dont want to do that whole network thing either, i want to put my burned copy in and play. Is there any link to a good bios that allows this?

Sounds like you haven't updated the BIOS.

    qoob Pro 1.3c BIOS - http://www.tehskeen.net/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=282

Get the 1.3c BIOS and flash it to your qoob Pro via USB. If you want to boot to the 1.3c BIOS instead of 1.0, you'll have to use a hacked flasher to overwrite the first bank.

    cracked 1.3c flasher - http://www.tehskeen.net/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=271

Oh, and make sure you're using top quality miniDVD-R as well as good burn practices (slow speed, updated burner firmware, etc.)

I have a qoob Pro myself, so if you have any specific questions I'll help you out.
