FAQ: Burning AVI to VCD or SVCD with Nero

    Simple answer: don't.

    Longer answer: Nero's internal routines that allow converting AVIs to VideoCD or SuperVCD format (SVCD "plugin" is commercial), suck. Big time.

    Notes: You should always avoid re-encoding video material from lossy format (like DivX) to another lossy format (like VCD or SVCD) because each conversion drops the quality significantly.

    I still want to do this (in order to play the video with my stand-alone DVD player), how do I do it then?

    Use TMPGEnc. Some kind of advice can be found from here:
