AVI extension problem

I just change my Win98 with WinXP and I can not run the .avi files with pictures (only sound).Before with Win98 I used some decoders who works good but there are not OK with WinXP.
If you have any suggestion please let me know.(what coders i have to use , site for download e.t.c.)

Install DivX 5.02 or alternatively install FFDShow and you should be fine with most of the videos. Both tools can be found from our site, as usual.
