Faster usb speeds,how?

    I bought a LaCie external Hard Drive,design by F.A. Porsche 250GB:

    It says:

    * Simple setup; easy-to-use
    * Lightweight, durable & stackable

    So,how in the hell i get that speed??

    I have USB 2.0 installed on my computer,but the speed is nothing near that.

    You guys are my last resource.

    what is your transfer speed as 480mbits/s calculates to 60mbytes/s?

    480mbs doesnt mean ure gonna transport a 700mb movie in 2 secs just like having a 10mb conection doesnt mean ure gonna dl a 100mb file in 10 secs u have to divide the transfer speed by 8

    Is there anyway to test the speed that you recommend ?
