DVD ROM audio problems

    hello

    can anyoen tell me what to do i got this weird isue on a dvd rom it used to be allright played dvds with no problem then just out of nowhere it stoped playing the audio.... i already reinstalled sound card and the weird part is that every other sound no matteer if its game or mp3 or other videos will play but DVD sound is not working i use power dvd as player and also windows media player wont play the dvd but power dvd will with no sound

    If you've got a DVD Rom then chances are you have an audio cable coming out of the back, located left of the jumper pins I think.

    Make sure that is in properly or the connection is still good; no dust etc.

    i did that... it doesnt appear to be wrong.. also i can play cds from it with no problems its just a dvd thing

    Hmmm, I am not sure to be honest. There might be a technical issue with the drive. All i can think of is to upgrade to a new drive. Dvd writers/burners are v cheap now a days and out do roms extensively. If you want to upgrade then I can provide guidance on what makes/models to go for...
