How do I know whether my motherboard contains a AGP GFX card slot or PCI-Express GFX card slot and let's say i buy a Dell Dimension 9200(of the latest Dell PC),if i feel like upgrading, can I use stuffs that are not produced by Dell or is it i should buy the stuff from Dell itself?

You can do a Google search for your board, or go to the manufacturer's web site.

I'd suggest having a pc custom built. You get exactly what you want and need, without getting a lot of stuff in the package. Brand names are too proprietary. Custom built is more upgradable, and if you have a problem, the repair place is just down the street, instead of being on the phone, on hold for an hour, with somebody in India.
